Hey fans! It’s that time of the week again. Time to see what the fans had to say about articles here at Stock Car Spin.
For those of you who are unaware of how this works, each week, I go back and look at comments left by the fans, and choose the best ones to place in a weekly article.
This week, we had a pair of good comments that came from an article I did about Kyle Busch. The first one was from Jackie, who very politely told Mr. Busch to leave the Nationwide Series:
Hey, I’ve got it! If Kyle just [...]

Well, we didn’t quite reach our goal of 25. But we ended up with a fairly solid 9. And we had the closest race in Freeroll’s short history, as Linus took the 100 tokens by 65 points. Congrats Linus!

Stealing almost as much spotlight as Joey Logano’s history-making win on Sunday was an 8-car melee that occurred on lap 176 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Thus far, the blame of Loudon’s version of the “Big One” has been shared by three parties. And the suspects are:
Kyle Busch:The obvious choice. The guy took it three-wide on a restart on a track even Busch himself said is only wide enough for one car. Busch took some heat from those involved in the wreck, including Brian Vickers and Martin Truex Jr.
Dale Earnhardt Jr: Earnhardt really started the whole mess with one of [...]
I typically do not post race reports here at Stock Car Spin. But this one is historical.
Strange things have a tendency of happening at New Hampshire. Which is why, when rookie Joey Logano blew a left rear tire and spun out with 100 laps to go during Sunday’s race at the Magic Mile, nobody should have counted him out.
It wasn’t like Logano was much of a threat to begin with. But the accident should have dashed all hopes of a decent run for the hometown boy. Instead, it proved to be a blessing in disguise.
When Logano spun, it put him a [...]
It was a boring snoozefest of a Nationwide race Saturday at New Hampshire. Joey Logano dominated, leading 104 of the 200 laps. However, it was Logano’s teammate, Kyle Busch, who stole the win.
However, he did not steal the show.
The show went to Cup teammates Brian Vickers and Scott Speed. On the final lap, in the final turn, Vickers, who ran in the top 5 all day, checked up in turn 4, and got plowed by Speed, who also ran in the top 5 most of the day. After the race, Vickers, who finished 12th, got in the back of Speed [...]
If NASCAR Had A Draft…
Over the past few years, NASCAR has become more and more like other sports. They have added a playoff system, and have been trying to even out the competition(so they say).
To help them out, I have developed a NASCAR mock draft, somewhat describing what the world of NASCAR would look like if the sport held an annual draft, like other sports do.
Here’s how it works. Only teams from the top 35 in points were included, with the 35th place car owner getting the first pick. Progressively, we will work our way up the list until we get to a team [...]
Out with the old, in with the new.
Over the past few days, there have been several new developments out of the NASCAR garage. So many, in fact, that they have been difficult to keep up with. So let’s get down to business.
First Chevrolet, then Dodge, and now Ford is getting a new engine. The new FR9 engine is expected to be released by late August, or just before the Chase starts. Carl Edwards has already said he doesn’t want it yet, as he will be racing for the championship, and doesn’t want to risk engine failure. Matt Kenseth said either way(whether [...]
The media’s non-stop coverage of the life and death of star singer Michael Jackson continues on. And joining them has been several members of the sports media and blogosphere.
There have been several reports throughout these sources talking about how big-name football and basketball stars(predominately basketball) are reacting to the unfortunate incident.
So, it’s no doubt you’re probably wondering how NASCAR drivers are reacting.
The answer: They really aren’t. At least, not publicly.
No matter where you look, you can find absolutely nothing about how the NASCAR world is reacting. I’m sure there is one simple reason for that.
And no, it has nothing to [...]
Last week, we had 12 players for Stock Car Spin Freeroll at New Hampshire. This week, we’re going for 25!
But we need your help.
Stock Car Spin Freeroll is fun, easy to play, and best of all, it’s free! And the winner gets 100 tokens, which can be used in the near future to purchase things like 365fantasysports T-shirts, keychains, and all sorts of good stuff.
The winner also gets a mention in Monday’s article here at Stock Car Spin recapping the weekend’s action. And with hundreds of visitors coming to the site every single day, and traffic growing drastically, you could [...]
While the Richard Petty Motorsports to Toyota rumors and denials continue to swirl, two other race teams are looking at swapping manufacturers. Literally.
Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing, who runs Chevrolets, is looking at a possible switch to Toyota. Meanwhile, Team Red Bull, who runs Toyotas, is looking at a possible switch to Chevrolet.
I know. That’s a lot to take in, especially after just two sentences. So allow me to break down each teams’ possible plan.
First, Earnhardt-Ganassi, with drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Martin Truex Jr. EGR hasn’t had a terrible year, as Montoya is currently in the Chase. However, EGR expects to be [...]
