Sadler To Drive A Toyota At New Hampshire

Elliott Sadler is expected to be driving a Toyota this weekend at New Hampshire.

Just not in the series you would expect.

According to the New Hampshire Nationwide Series entry list, Sadler will be driving the #10 Auto Value/Bumper-To-Bumper Toyota for Braun Racing; The team Sadler’s Sprint Cup team, Richard Petty Motorsports, partnered up with just weeks ago.

Sadler will become the first driver out of the RPM stable(with the exception of AJ Allmendinger, who drove two seasons for Team Red Bull) to drive a Toyota. Strange, considering just two days ago everybody thought for sure that Kasey Kahne would be the first in a Toyota.

Sadler has to feel pretty good about being the first RPM driver in a Toyota. He wasn’t even in the running for the new Dodge R6 engine. And as of last Christmas, it didn’t even look like he was going to have a ride in 2009. He hasn’t won a race in any series since 2004. Finally, Elliott Sadler is first at something.

Just not in the series you would expect.
