Two weeks ago, a pair of NASCAR’s most popular drivers made big changes. For Kasey Kahne, the change was under the hood. For Dale Earnhardt Jr., it was atop the pit box. It took him 10 years. But on Sunday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. publicly took his share of the blame. Kyle Busch is a hard one to figure out. Every time I think I may want to pull for him, he does something that turns me away. I try not to think of Kyle Busch as a dirty driver. It has been reported that NASCAR team owner Roger Penske(2, 12, 77) has made an agreement with General Motors to buy the manufacturer Saturn. The end was all but here for Saturn, as it, as well as its over 350 dealerships and 13,000 employees, was going to be one of the many unfortunate casualties of the rough economy, and of GM filing for bankruptcy protection. However, it appears that Penske has come to the rescue. For the immediate future, most, if not all of the 350 dealerships will remain in business, and all 13,000 employees will keep their jobs. Hey fans! Sorry about the lack of stories over the last few days. We had an issue with the site, but thanks to Zach and the Fansided team, it’s back up and running now. Here are some news updates from the last few days. Double-file restarts are being introduced to NASCAR beginning this weekend at Pocono. They will be introduced into the Nationwide and Truck Series in the near future. We know they will be implemented, we just don’t know when. NASCAR fans have been getting after the sport for years about double-file restarts, trying to talk NASCAR into letting the leaders restart double-file with lapped cars at the back, instead of single-file with lapped cars to the inside. NASCAR finally appears as though they are finally giving in. Within the past few days, NASCAR has asked the teams whether or not they want double-file restarts implemented.
