Jeremy Mayfield Apparently Isn’t a NASCAR Driver Anymore
Apparently, Jeremy Mayfield is no longer a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver.
According to NASCAR.com’s driver table, Jeremy Mayfield never even attempted a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in 2009.
The driver table is made up of every driver who has attempted a race this season, and which car they drove.
Among drivers on the table are guys like Carl Long, who raced only in the Sprint Showdown, Norm Benning, whose only attempt at a NASCAR race in 2009 failed miserably at Daytona, and James Hylton who, technically, hasn’t even attempted to make a race in 2009.
But Mayfield, who has made 5 races in 2009, isn’t part of the driver table made up by NASCAR’s official website.
It looks like Jeremy Mayfield isn’t a NASCAR driver anymore.

That table only list the last driver in a particular car # so JJ Yeley is shown. Same as for the #09 shows M Bliss and not race winner Brad K. The #36 lists M Skinner and not the others who drove it this year.

July 18th, 2009 at 3:47 pmChristina, Brad K is on the list in the #25 not the #09 he won in If Jeremy was last driver of the #41 he would be on the list
July 18th, 2009 at 7:19 pmJeremy Mayfield is still on the standings page (http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2009/data/standings_official.html) and if click on his name, you will get his career statistics INCLUDING 2009!
So, his presence on nascar.com as a driver may be diminished but is not gone.
