A Stunning Revelation about Mark Martin
Ask any fan, and they will tell you that the epitome of a clean, respectful, courteous driver is Mark Martin. He is the only driver in NASCAR who is sacrosanct. He and his namesake are not to be violated; not to be touched unless his name is used along with the superlatives of clean, respectful, and courteous. Maybe it’s a well-earned reputation. After all, the 50-year old has spent half his life in NASCAR trying to win an elusive Sprint Cup championship. Martin has always been a bridesmaid, and never a bride. Maybe the fact that he has finished runner-up in [...]
Jeff Gordon Fans, Please Stop Whining
42 drivers failed to win Monday’s race at Martinsville Speedway. Some due to mechanical failures, others due to tire problems, and several more due to accidents. But if you ask Jeff Gordon fans, their driver was the real victim in Martinsville, Virginia. Gordon fans have flooded forums and message boards cursing the world over their driver’s misfortune. Gordon lost the race fair and square, just like the other 41 drivers who missed out on going to Victory Lane. However, his fans don’t see things that way, and they blame two parties for their driver’s loss. The first, is NASCAR. Gordon was leading [...]
Hot or Not: Martinsville
The boys of NASCAR had their first Monday race of the season, as Mother Nature postponed the March Martinsville race one day. So who managed to get through the 508-lap melee, and who melted under the pressure? We’ve got you covered! Hot: Joe Gibbs Racing. Denny Hamlin had to postpone his knee surgery, but he got a grandfather clock as a consolation prize. Joey Logano continues to impress, as he broke out of his mini-slump and earned a season-best second place finish. Yes, JGR had a near-perfect day, except… Not: The Busch Brothers. …Kyle crashed out of the top 10 with [...]

Apparently, Steve Wallace is good enough to win a NASCAR title. This, according to the good people at NASCAR.com who decided to pin Wallace up against NASCAR Nationwide Series phenom Justin Allgaier in their latest homepage poll. The poll(which can be found on the right-hand side of the homepage, assuming it’s still there) asks the question: “Which of the following Nationwide-only drivers has the best chance of winning the title since 2005: Justin Allgaier or Steve Wallace? Allow me to interpret. What they’re asking is, if a Nationwide-only driver is going to capture the Nationwide title for the first time since [...]

The above photo was taken at Tuesday’s spoiler test at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Juan Pablo Montoya(#42) was fastest in the A.M. session. Perhaps the reason for that is because he was driving a different car than everyone else. Not sure if Montoya’s team missed the memo about the whole “spoiler” test thing, or what’s up. Of course, this post is intended to be funny. Montoya’s crew most likely did indeed test with the spoiler. But why did they bring the car pictured above? Only they can answer that. I’m sure they have a reason. But until they tell us what it [...]
Justin Allgaier Thanks God for First NASCAR Win
I’ve liked Justin Allgaier since his ARCA days, and when he won his first ever NASCAR race in Saturday’s Nationwide event at Bristol, I was absolutely stoked for the kid. But when I heard what he had to say in his Victory Lane celebration, my opinion of the kid was solidified. Watch all the way to the end. Allgaier thanks God for his victory, but unlike with some other sports stars, you can tell by the tone of his voice that he truly means it. Take a look: Allgaier thanks God for Victory I wish more NASCAR drivers, and athletes [...]
Hot or Not: Bristol
The boys of NASCAR out-drove the weather in Thunder Valley. So who rolled like the thunder at Bristol, and who got struck by lightning? We’ve got you covered! Hot: Jimmie Johnson. Three wins in the first five races? Not too bad I guess. As Darrell Waltrip would say, “It’s deja vu all over again!” Not: Kasey Kahne. Kahne complained of brake problems throughout the race. What Kenny Francis should’ve told him was, “Don’t worry, Bud(pun intended). We switched to Ford, not Toyota.” Hot: Tony Stewart. Smoke has been fairly hot most of the year. So after his second place finish [...]
