Denny Hamlin Will Start Subway Fresh Fit 600

After having a successful surgery on his left knee, Denny Hamlin has made it perfectly clear that he will race in Saturday night’s Subway Fresh Fit 600 at Phoenix International Raceway.

How long Hamlin will race remains to be seen, but he has announced that he plans to start the race on Saturday night.

From Denny Hamlin’s Twitter page:

“[R]egardless of what you may read my plan is to start on [S]aturday night. Beyond that [I] just don’t know.”

Hamlin seems to still be in a great deal of pain, as he also posted last night that he, “Would not wish this on anybody,” and that it’s, “One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.”

We’ll keep you posted throughout the weekend on Hamlin’s status. For now though, it appears that Hamlin will start the race on Saturday night.
