Jimmie Johnson Finishes 6th in Grand Am Race

Jimmie Johnson pulled double-duty this weekend.

The four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion teamed up with Jon Fogarty, Alex Gurney and Team Gainsco for Saturday’s 6 Hours of Watkins Glen Grand Am race.

The #99 Chevy Riley led some laps with Fogarty driving. Johnson held station in the top 5 during his stint, and the car was running in third with a few minutes remaining before Gurney spun.

The team finished in sixth place overall, and was the final car on the lead lap.

Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas won the event for Chip Ganassi Racing.
