Hot or Not: Pocono
The boys of NASCAR made the trip to the tricky triangle in Long Pond. Who survived and who got caught up in the madness that was Pocono(Yes, I really just used the words “madness” and “Pocono” in the same sentence)? We’ve got you covered! Hot: Denny Hamlin. Hamlin did just about everything right in Pocono, save for one thing. After winning four races at the place, you’d think he would have figured out how to do a burnout there by now. Not: Kasey Kahne: I know Kasey has struggled this season. But trying to pass in the grass won’t work. [...]

Jimmie Johnson Finishes 6th in Grand Am Race
Jimmie Johnson pulled double-duty this weekend. The four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion teamed up with Jon Fogarty, Alex Gurney and Team Gainsco for Saturday’s 6 Hours of Watkins Glen Grand Am race. The #99 Chevy Riley led some laps with Fogarty driving. Johnson held station in the top 5 during his stint, and the car was running in third with a few minutes remaining before Gurney spun. The team finished in sixth place overall, and was the final car on the lead lap. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas won the event for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Driver Gauge: Junior No Longer Most Popular Driver
So I was looking around on NASCAR.com the other day, and I found something very interesting. The website has this cool new feature called Driver Gauge, which allows fans to select their top 5 favorite drivers, and submit their votes into the Gauge. Each week, the votes are tallied up, and the top 5 most popular drivers are placed on the list in order of their ranking. Basically, it’s a “Most Popular Driver” contest, only it’s updated more often than just once a year. Right now, believe it or not, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is not NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver. At least, [...]
Jeff Burton has long been considered the “mayor” of the NASCAR garage area. Burton’s opinion on issues surrounding the sport holds by far more weight than anybody else’s in the garage area, even Mark Martin’s. Because Burton is a veteran who typically knows what’s going on in the sport better than any other driver, he is looked up to as the leader of the garage area. But on Sunday, Burton threw his peers under the bus, and the future politician demonstrated some severely flawed leadership skills. Burton was a little hot-under-the-collar after a late-race incident with Kyle Busch. He had a [...]
1-on-1 With Latemodel Driver Chris Siebert
NASCAR team owners are always looking for the next “great thing”. They’re always looking for the next Dale Earnhardt, or Jeff Gordon. Looking for the next Jimmie Johnson or Joey Logano. To find the next “great thing”, they may have to look no further than Latemodel driver Chris Siebert. Chris is one of racing’s rising stars. Like Logano, and several other NASCAR stars such as David Ragan and Reed Sorenson, Siebert has had plenty of success racing in the Thursday Night Thunder Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, as well as in several other forms of racing. Siebert has now made [...]
