David Reutimann Extends Contract With MWR

David Reutimann will be with Michael Waltrip Racing through 2013.

The fourth-year Sprint Cup Series driver signed a contract extension that will have him driving the #00 for the next three years.

Aaron’s plans on coming back in some capacity through at least 2012.

Reutimann has been with MWR since his rookie year in 2007, and has been dubbed “The Franchise” of the team. So it’s no surprise that Reuti will be back for at least another three years with the team that helped groom him.

Reutimann’s move leaves only four free-agent drivers left; three of whom drive for Richard Petty Motorsports.

AJ Allmendinger, Paul Menard, Elliott Sadler, and Jamie McMurray all have decisions to make. Allmendinger is expected to make his within the next 30 days.
