Latemodel driver Chris Siebert and Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Max Gresham are back this week to talk about the major stories in NASCAR following Sunday’s race at Phoenix.

Ben: Alrighty guys, let’s get started! We heard last week that Travis Pastrana is going to be making the jump over to NASCAR next year. What do you think he’ll bring to the sport?

Max: I think Travis will bring more new sponsors to the series and a lot more press just like the Danica movement did.

Siebert: I think he will bring great press and diversity to NASCAR. He’s super talented so he might be a better match for NASCAR than we think. I don’t think he will flop like Danica.

Ben: Moving on. Only one of three drivers will win the championship on Sunday at Homestead. But of the other 40 or so drivers, who’s caught your eye down the stretch as a possible contender in 2011?

Siebert: Hmmm, good question. I’ve seen Juan Pablo as a threat. He’s strong week-in and out. Then there’s Stewart, he’s been good recently. But it’s a long shot. I’m thinking Logano has found his place and is now championship hunting. That team is due for one!

Ben: Finally, give me a champion. Denny, Jimmie, or Harvick?

Siebert: Harvick. People think I’m crazy, but he’s DOMINANT at Homestead so I think he will gain the points needed to win.

Max: As long as Denny can keep his thoughts together he’s got it.
