I love the idea about practice speeds determining starting position when quals are rained out; I've never like that the points leader always gets to start first in those situations. And toss the freakin' Chase. Just award a significantly-higher number of points to race winners (I've seen 70 above 2nd as one suggestion) and don't award less than 75 pts to the folks 36th and back.
