NASCAR The Game 2011 Review

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: 31 Comments

I’m back!  Sorry for the absence everyone!  Below, is my in-depth reveiew of NASCAR The Game 2011 courtesy of our friends over at Eutechnyx, and Activision.  I reviewed the Xbox 360 version, since i only have an Xbox 360 console.   Now, when i review games, i review them as a whole.  Both multi-player, and single player.  Just as a side note, my review is not biased, nor is it bashing Eutechnyx.  We would like to thank Eutechnyx  for allowing Stock Car Spin to review this game, as well as supplying us with a review copy.  Here is the long awaited review.  [...]

SCS Exclusive Interview With Former Racer Bruce MacInnes

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

While at the Atlanta International Auto Show on Friday, I stumbled across a man by the name of Bruce MacInnes. If you’ve followed different forms of racing for the past, oh I don’t know, 40 years or so, you might recognize the name. That’s because MacInnes used to race sports cars back in the day, and rumor has it he was pretty good. More on that in a moment. MacInnes has been teaching young, aspiring racers how to drive for the past 30 years. As a senior member of the Skip Barber Racing School, MacInnes has taught several of NASCAR [...]

The boys of NASCAR were in California this week. Yay. Who took victory and who…ah heck, let’s just get to it. Carl Edwards holds the No. 1 spot, simply because he’s better than everybody. Yeah, I said it. Auto Club winner Kevin Harvick moves up five spots, as he and Matt Kenseth are this week’s big movers in the rankings. Our big loser is Tony Stewart, down four spots. New this week are Clint Bowyer and Brian Vickers. They replace Bobby Labonte and Denny Hamlin. So without further adieu, let’s get to this week’s SCS Power Rankings: 1. Carl Edwards(Last [...]

Tayler Malsam Left Without A Ride…Again

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

For the third time in less than a year, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Tayler Malsam is left stranded without a ride. Reports are that Randy Moss Motorsports has shut down its #25 truck program, effective immediately. Malsam, of course, drove the #25 truck in the first three events this season. The start of the 2011 season didn’t bode well for Malsam, as he failed to qualify for the first two races and blew an engine in the most recent event at Darlington. Malsam drove for Moss’s team in 2009, before leaving RMM for the newly-created Kyle Busch Motorsports [...]

David Ragan Breaks A World Record At Bristol

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

Georgia boy/NASCAR driver David Ragan broke a world record at Bristol on Saturday. Ragan set the world record for fastest lap around a 1/2-mile race track for a passenger car with a time of 19.481 seconds, driving a 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0. Ragan’s speed around Bristol Motor Speedway was 98.497 mph. Ragan’s NASCAR career to this point has not gone according to plan, as he has no wins to date in his 4-year career. But setting a world record has to take some of the sting away. Perhaps it’s even the shot in the arm he needs to get [...]

Jennifer Jo Cobb Steps Out Of Car At Bristol

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

Some drivers refuse to start and park. Jennifer Jo Cobb is one of them. ESPN reported during its telecast of Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol that Cobb stepped out of the car just before the green flag waved over the Scott’s Turf Builder 300. “It’s Jerry McGuire in NASCAR, I tell ya,” said a frustrated Cobb just 11 laps into the race. “I was told ten minutes before the race started that I would be forced to start and park by the owner, mandating a black flag so the car could be ready for California. Then I was [...]
