Trevor Bayne will spend another weekend out of the car this weekend as he continues to recover from a mysterious illness. NASCAR K&N East Series driver Kevin Swindell will take over Bayne’s #16 Ford for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide race at Dover.
Bayne’s condition is reportedly getting better, and it sounds like he really wants to get back behind the wheel of the car. Roush Fenway Racing’s decision to sideline Bayne again this weekend is simply a precautionary measure.
Bayne is expected to return to the cockpit next weekend for the Sprint All Star race in the Wood Brothers’ #21, as well as the Roush Fenway Racing #16 for the Nationwide race at Iowa.
