Long-time RCR crew chiefs Shane Wilson and Gil Martin have taken new assignments with the 14-time championship-winning organization. Kurt Busch Could Get Fined For Antics on Video
We all know that Kurt Busch had a horrible day at Homestead-Miami this past sunday. On lap 3 of the Ford 400, The #22 car had a transmission that gave out. That blown transmission ended Busch’s day really early. After this clip of Kurt Busch was taken by a guy named Joe Adams, Busch could potentially face a fine from NASCAR. (Nov. 22, 2011) – Tony Stewart can add this to the growing list of reasons why his championship season ranks among the greatest ever: He won the title in the most statistically-competitive season in the 63-year history of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. CONCORD, NC (November 22, 2011) – Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates announced today that Chris Heroy has been named crew chief of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet with driver Juan Pablo Montoya. Steve Addington leaves Penske Racing
Rumors of Steven Addington’s departure from Penske Racing began floating around in October at Charlotte Motor Speedway and while both parties adamantly denied the rumors, Tuesday’s announcement came as no surprise. Penske Racing team president Tim Cindric confirmed Addington’s departure and issued the following statement: “Steve Addington is no longer with our organization. On Sunday, while Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards were duking it out for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship, many drivers and teams were already making plans for the 2012 season. Big changes are already being rumored around the garage for Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 team, but several drivers in the Sprint Cup Series making plans have been difficult. MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 21, 2011)- NASCAR’s future was front and center Monday night as four champions in two national series were crowned. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., 24 and Austin Dillon, 21, officially were proclaimed champions of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, respectively, on the Americana Ballroom stage at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Both were honored with their first NASCAR national series titles. Each became champion in the season following a rookie-of-the-year performance.
