2011 NASCAR Year in Review.

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

As we enter the final day of 2011, it’s time to look back at some of NASCAR Sprint Cup season’s memorable moments, the good and the bad. Records continued to be set which is a natural part of any sport. High expectations for certain drivers turned into disappointment and other drivers seemed to hit their stride in the performance department. Changes to the point system proved to be a winner that culminated with the most outstanding Chase we have seen since it was implemented. NASCAR forced drivers to pick the series they intended to run in for points and the [...]

Danica Patrick is Yahoo’s 2011 Most Searched Athlete.

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

The list of the top-ten most searched athletes on Yahoo was released on Monday, and Kris Humphries, the NBA player who had the 72 day marriage to Kim Kardashian wasn’t number one. Denver Broncos quarterback, Tim Tebow, didn’t even make the list as he was unheard of in the NFL world until October. The most searched was none other than IndyCar driver turned NASCAR driver, Danica Patrick. Although we can only speculate as to the reasons why, such as most men find the female driver extremely sexy, that certainly isn’t the only reason. Tiger Woods and Manny Pacquia, the professional boxer, [...]

Report: David Ragan considering move to the NASCAR Nationwide Series

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

The 2011 NASCAR offseason may take another unexpected twist, this time with David Ragan. Ragan may have found a ride for the 2012 season. Though it’s not with a NASCAR Sprint Cup team, it appears that the former Roush-Fenway driver may be one of the potential drivers to take over the former ride of Aric Almirola. Nothing is official as of now. If Almirola leaves JR Motorsports for the No. 43 of Richard Petty Motorsports, then Ragan may get the job driving for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and the No. 88. It seemed that Ragan had been in the hunt for [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

If your a NASCAR fan on Twitter (like I am), you probably follow every driver on the social media network site, and you probably up to date on everything going on with them, and their respective teams.  If you followed Kasey Kahne’s Twitter account yesterday, you probably seen tweets that you wouldn’t expect at all. Kasey Kahne has come under fire for posting tweets about breastfeeding.  This was one of his tweets regarding breastfeeding. “Just walking though supermarket. See a mom breast feeding little kid. Took second look because obviously I was seeing things. I wasn’t!” After posting the tweets, [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: NASCAR | COMMENTS: None Yet

Though it has not been officially announced, it is being reported that Richard Petty Motorsports will be hiring Aric Almirola to drive the No. 43 during the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. The car is currently without a main sponsor, but that could change with Almirola behind the wheel. The car was previously driven by A.J. Allmendinger and sponsored by Best Buy. When Best Buy pulled their sponsorship earlier in December, Allmendinger began looking for a new ride, which he found at Penske Racing.
