The Allmendinger Move Is Shocking

Earlier this week, My fabulous writer NASCARKrissy reported that AJ Allmendinger is on the outs at Richard Petty Motorsports and is being replaced by Kurt Busch.  Despite there being no official announcements on the matter, it would be a very shocking move if this is indeed true.

AJ Allmendinger had one of his finest seasons in the Sprint Cup Series.  He finished 15th in points this past season (which was his best finishing season of his career), and at times was running well during the season.  I wonder why they would remove AJ Allmendinger for Kurt Busch if Allmendinger is starting to run well, and is becoming more comfortable in the Sprint Cup circuit.

Even if Kurt Busch joins the RPM stable, it could become an issue of finding sponsorship and having the finances to bring a car to the track for Busch.  Sponsors are going to be very cautious about signing on with Kurt Busch and I think its going to be interesting to see what sponsorships he gets (IF this story turns out to be true).

Either way, this move is quite shocking.  If there is any official announcement, we’ll report to you that announcement.
