If your a NASCAR fan on Twitter (like I am), you probably follow every driver on the social media network site, and you probably up to date on everything going on with them, and their respective teams. If you followed Kasey Kahne’s Twitter account yesterday, you probably seen tweets that you wouldn’t expect at all.
Kasey Kahne has come under fire for posting tweets about breastfeeding. This was one of his tweets regarding breastfeeding.
“Just walking though supermarket. See a mom breast feeding little kid. Took second look because obviously I was seeing things. I wasn’t!”
After posting the tweets, he got a tweet from a mother who disagreed with his tweets. What was his response you might ask? He tweeted back to her, and called her a dumb b—-.
Since then, Kahne has apologized for the comments saying…
“I understand that my comments regarding breastfeeding posted on Twitter were offensive to some people,” Kahne acknowledged in a statement on his Facebook page. “For that, I apologize. It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breastfeeding children. I want to make that clear.”
As far as my opinions are concerned, Kahne should have known better. He could have made the situation better by being more polite about this, but he went after a mother verbally, and to me that really hurts his image. People will probably see him now as the cocky, and angry Kasey Kahne. Regardless, he handled this very poorly, and should not have went after the woman in my opinion like he did. Just despicable.
