2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. What can you say about it? It was fantastic. It was a great year for many of NASCAR’s finest. Kurt Busch’s career does not look good for the Las Vegas native. On Thursday, it was annouced that the elder Busch came to terms with James Finch and Phoenix Racing to drive the No. 51 in 2012. The past three seasons have not been very kind to Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Since his debut in the #88 car in 2008, Earnhardt Jr has won only 1 race, and only made the chase once during his tenure with Hendrick Motorsports.  After the 2010 season, team owner Rick Hendrick decided to switch crew chiefs and gave Dale Jr Steve Letarte.   Greg Biffle, who will be 42 years old on the 23rd, could be considered as a dark-horse candidate to win the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup. Kurt Busch has reportedly found himself a ride for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series campaign.  According to NASCAR.com, the 2004 Sprint Cup Champ has reportedly signed on with Phoenix Racing to drive the #51 chevy.  The deal is reportedly for 1-year.   Joey Logano, who finished 24th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings for 2011, has much talent and potential as a professional driver. The 2009 Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year won two Coors Light Pole Awards during the 2011 season, but failed to win a race. Despite his disappointing season, the Toyota driver is only 21 years old and has a bright future ahead of him. It was a big Wednesday for Penske Racing. First off they announced a new driver for the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Dodge, A.J. Allmendinger, and then they announced a new crew chief for the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Jeremy Bullins, who served as the race engineer for the No. 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup car for Richard Childress Racing, joins the team. Accroding to Reports, Former RPM driver AJ Allmendinger has been named the driver of the #22 Dodge for Penske Racing, NASCAR.com confirms. Contract details have not been disclosed. There was speculation that that AJ Allmendinger was on the outs from Richard Petty Motorsports a few weeks back, and today’s news basically confirms it.   Allmendinger is taking over the ride from Kurt Busch, who was fired over the profanity-laced tirade after the season finale at Homestead.
