Kasey Kahne’s 2012 season started off on the wrong foot. At Daytona, he was involved in a multi-car wreck near the end of the race. And at Phoenix, he ran well early, but would hit the wall around Lap 50, and would be in the garage after that. Lets fast forward to today. Las Vegas appears to be where Kahne gains his luck back.
Kasey Kahne qualified on the pole for Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Kahne, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch cracked 190 MPH, which is a record at the track. Kevin Harvick, last weeks runner-up at Phoenix, qualified 2nd. Kyle Busch qualified 3rd, Dale Earnhardt Jr qualified 4th, and Clint Bowyer qualified 5th.
Only Robby Gordon and Scott Riggs failed to qualify on time for Sunday’s race.
