Every week, I usually see articles posted online about how Dale Earnhardt Jr could end his winless streak.  This week is no different.

Many are now questioning when he will win this year because of the fact that NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver has had a remarkable season.  He is not only surprising Jr Nation, but he is also surprising the NASCAR world with how his 2012 campaign has been.

Earnhardt has 4 top-5′s, and 7 top-10s in 2012. He is currently on pace to have more than 8 top-5′s, and 15 top-10′s in 2012 as well.

After last week’s 2nd-place finish at Richmond, Earnhardt Jr heads to Talladega where he has had incredible success at the superspeedway. He has won at the superspeedway 5 times, and has 9 top-5′s, and 12 top-10′s.  However, his last victory at the Superspeedway came in October of 2004.

I have a feeling that Junebug (as DW calls him) can end his winless streak.  All he needs is drafting help. Earnhardt could have won the Daytona 500 in February had Denny Hamlin been behind him.  As long as he starts up front, and has drafting help when its crunch-time, Junior has the best chance to end his winless streak at Talladega Superspeedway.

Do you think Junior will win at Talladega this Sunday?  If not, where do you think Earnhardt could end his winless streak?  Let me know in the comments below!
