Details released for Truck, Nationwide banquet

On Wednesday, NASCAR announced details regarding the year-end joint awards banquet for the Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series. As in recent years past, award winners from each series will be honored in a single banquet at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel in South Beach. Also, like in years past, the banquet will be held just days after each series concludes its season at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

“Celebrating the champions of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Miami Beach enables us to continue the wave of excitement out of championship weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway,” NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Steve Phelps said. “The backdrop makes for an ideal location to honor those champions and their teams and sponsors after their great seasons.”

The 2012 banquet is scheduled for Nov. 19, after the Truck Series ends its season on Nov. 16 and the Nationwide Series on Nov. 17. As previously announced, the Sprint Cup Series banquet will close out champion’s week in Las Vegas, with the banquet, itself, scheduled for Nov. 30 at Wynn Las Vegas.
