Several NASCAR drivers set to participate in Rolex 24 at Daytona

The NASCAR portion of Daytona (Fla.) International Speedweeks may not get underway until mid-February, but some NASCAR stars will be racing at Daytona as early as Saturday, as they participate in the Rolex 24 at Daytona Grand-Am Road Racing Series event that will begin on Saturday and end on Sunday.

“I got talked into the Rolex deal,” Clint Bowyer said. “What a deal.”

Below, is a list of NASCAR drivers (Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck series) expected to participate in the 24-hour event:

DP Class
No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates — Juan Montoya
No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates — Jamie McMurray
No. 5 Action Express Racing — Nelson Piquet Jr.
No. 60 Michael Shank Racing — A.J. Allmendinger, Marcos Ambrose

GT Class
No. 55 AF-Waltrip — Michael Waltrip, Clint Bowyer
No. 56 AF-Waltrip — Michael Waltrip, Clint Bowyer

The race is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Extensive television coverage will be provided by SPEED Channel.
