The polls are open to determine which driver will get into the upcoming Sprint All-Star race via fan vote. The NASCAR Sprint All-Star race is slated for May 18 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fans may vote for their favorite driver(s) not already qualified for the All-Star race until 5 p.m. ET on race day.
Drivers who won a Sprint Cup race in 2012 or up to the date of the All-Star race in 2013 or drivers who have won the Sprint All-Star Race within the last 10 years will automatically be eligible for this year’s event, as long as they finished in the top-55 in points last year. The top-two finishers of the preliminary Sprint Showdown will also advance to the All-Star race.
The driver receiving the most votes from fan voting who don’t already have an All-Star Race slot secured via the aforementioned criteria will get the final starting spot for the Sprint All-Star race as long as he or she finishes the preliminary Sprint Showdown on the lead lap with a car in raceable condition.
Fans have an unlimited number of votes and may cast those votes via the NASCAR Mobile ’13 app or at NASCAR.com/SprintFanVote.
Drivers who aren’t currently qualified for the All-Star Race but are eligible for the Sprint Fan Vote include: A.J. Allmendinger, Aric Almirola, Dave Blaney, Mike Bliss, Jeff Burton, Landon Cassill, Bill Elliott, David Gilliland, Travis Kvapil, Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Michael McDowell, Jamie McMurray, Casey Mears, Paul Menard, Juan Montoya, Danica Patrick, David Ragan, David Reutimann, Scott Speed, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., David Stremme, Martin Truex Jr., Michael Waltrip, Josh Wise and J.J.
