Statistically speaking: a look at Pocono

facebooktwitterreddit

This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Pocono (Pa.) Raceway for Sunday’s Party in the Poconos 400. Pocono is a unique track, and is often referred to as the “Tricky Triangle,” due to its odd three-turn, triangle layout.

Joey Logano won last year’s June race at Pocono, but for Joe Gibbs Racing. He’s since moved on to Penske Racing to drive the No. 22. The last time the circuit visited Pocono Raceway was August 2012. Jeff Gordon celebrated in victory lane after that race. Among active drivers, Gordon leads the way with six wins at the track. Denny Hamlin has four.
