Sizzlers & Fizzlers – Following the Brickyard 400

Sizzlers – This list consist of drivers who had a great week or are riding a powerful wave of momentum.

1. Jimmie Johnson – Admire the fact he was sincerely disappointed with finishing 2nd in Sunday’s Brickyard 400.

2. Ryan Newman- Winning Sunday’s Brickyard 400 easily was a career defining moment for the South Bend Indiana native.

3. Tony Stewart- Technically he’s now a 3 time Brickyard 400 winner.

4. Jeff Gordon – The four time champion will have to be on the offensive and the defensive over the next six weeks if he plans on winning a fifth NSCS championship.

5. Kasey Kahne- Solid 3rd place run at Indy has him firmly back in the thick of the chase picture. Be flawless Kasey! Be flawless!

Fizzlers – Drivers listed below are falling fast, or are for lack of a better term ice cold as of late.

1. Clint Bowyer – Lackluster performance at Indy is cause for concern as the chase looms.

2. Danica Patrick- At least she still has the Indy 500 memories, because her first Brickyard 400 experience was in a word forgettable.

3. Greg Biffle – Call him Mr. Ice. The Biff’s cooled off considerably since winning at Michigan in June.
4. Jeff Burton – I guess the mayor is taking 3 steps forward and five steps back. Oh is that how it goes?

5. Bobby Labonte – Remember the team has A.J Allmendinger  on speed dial.
