Rain cancels Truck Series qualifying at Pocono

Due to rain in Long Pond, Pa., on Saturday, qualifying for the Pocono Mountains 125 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Pocono Raceway was rained out. As a result, the starting grid for the event, scheduled to take the green flag shortly after 1 p.m. ET, was set based on Friday practice speeds. NASCAR and track officials are hopeful that they’ll be able to get the race in on Saturday, but rain continues at the track and is also expected to wash out NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice opportunities.

Whenever the race takes the green flag, Miguel Paludo will start from the pole position. He’ll be joined on the front row by Ross Chastain. Starting in the second row will be Jeb Burton and German Quiroga in third and fourth. Darrell Wallace Jr. will start fifth and will be joined on the third row by Ryan Blaney.

Starting seventh through 10th will be Todd Bodine, James Buescher, Matt Crafton and Joey Coulter.

With only 36 trucks on hand, the number needed for a full race field in the Camping World Truck Series, all trucks entered will have the opportunity to race when the track is dry and the series takes the green flag.
