Brad Keselowski's No. 2 Talladega winner hits auction block for charity

At a Barrett-Jackson auto auctions, there are usually several cars that cross the aution block to raise money for charitable causes and this week’s auction in Las Vegas is no exception. Among the cars scheduled to be auctioned on Friday (Sept. 27) is the No. 2 Penske Racing Dodge NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car that reigning Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski drove into victory lane at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in May 2012.

Television coverage of the 2013 Las Vegas auction, secheduled for Sept. 26-28, will be spread across three networks in the FOX family of stations — FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2 and the National Geographic Channel. All 22 hours of the auction are expected to be televised.


Proceeds from the No. 2 car will benefit the NASCAR Foundation. According to an online description on the Barrett-Jackson website, the car, listed as lot 3003, will be sold on “bill of sale only” and there is no reserve. The car is not street legal. It is scheduled to cross the auction block at 6 p.m. local time on Friday.
