Josh Wise plans on continuing his NSCS career this upcoming season. Josh will drive for Phil Parsons Racing in 2014. He departs from Front Row Motorsports after two seasons, most of which were spent as a start and park driver. Wise surprisingly is only 30 years old, but has spent a majority of his NASCAR career as a journeyman. Unless Phil Parsons has other plans for his newest acquisition it appears the team will once again start and park for most of the season. The team also switched from Ford’s to Chevrolet’s in the off season.
Fortunately it’s not all doom and gloom for the Riverside California native. Phil Parsons racing improved their superspeedway program last season, as former driver Michael McDowell scored the team’s first ever top 10 finish in last February’s Daytona 500. Hey, you never know when some of the smaller teams can pull off gigantic upsets. With any luck Wise takes a few gambles this season and comes away with a couple solid finishes in this car. Another start and Park season equals disappointment. Perhaps we will never know what Josh Wise is completely capable of.
