NASCAR inducts new Hall of Fame class Wednesday

HOF Finals 4.18.07The 2014 class of five NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees will be officially inducted into the Hall on Wednesday during a ceremony scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Hall of Fame in Charlotte. The ceremony will be shown live on FOX Sports 1.

The class includes legendary engine builder Maurice Petty, former Nationwide (then-Busch) Series driver Jack Ingram, and former Cup level drivers Fireball Roberts, Tim Flock and Dale Jarrett.

On Thursday, NASCAR released details on the ceremony. Current NASCAR stars Aric Almirola, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart will participate in the ceremony. NASCAR Hall of Famer and seven-time champion Richard Petty, former crew chief Waddell Wilson, former driver Harry Gant, race promoter Humpy Wheeler and country superstar Blake Shelton will induct the new class.

Fan tickets are still available at a cost of $5 and may be purchased at the NASCAR Hall of Fame box office and online at the Hall of Fame website.
