The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Thunder Valley, a.k.a. Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway for the first short track race of the season — Sunday’s Food City 500. It’s the fourth race of the season, overall, out of 36 points-paying races.
To this point, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, and Brad Keselowski have each gotten to victory lane in the first three races of the season, all but guaranteeing themselves a slot in the expanded and re-formatted Chase for the Sprint Cup championship off-season. For everyone else, the object of the game is to win and Bristol is the next opportunity to do it.
Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Kyle Busch has the highest average finish among active drivers at Bristol with an average of 9.9. Meanwhile, Jeff Gordon is the most experienced driver at Bristol entered, with 42-career starts under his belt. Below, is the entry list for Sunday’s race.
