facebooktwitterreddit

The top stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will take to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night for the Sprint All-Star Race. Clint Bowyer, A.J. Allmendinger and Josh Wise are late adds to the All-Star Race field, with Bowyer winning the Sprint Showdon on Friday night to advance, while Allmendinger advanced by finishing second. Wise was moved on to the All-Star event by winning the fan vote.

Six-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson has been tops, as far as All-Star racing goes, in recent years, as he’s won the last two events. In all, Johnson has won the All-Star Race four times. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Jeff Gordon, has won the event three times.
