Chase score card: leaving Dover International Speedway

Jimmie Johnson further cemented his entry into the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup post-season on Sunday with his win in the FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. It was his second-straight win and his second victory of the 2014 season. With the second win, he joins Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano as two-time winners.

Meanwhile, last year’s season runner-up Matt Kenseth, remains winless. Even so, he’s atop the points standings after Dover, two points ahead of second-place driver Jeff Gordon. Kenseth is the only driver in the top-nine of the points standings who still doesn’t have a win. He’s joined in the top-10 by winless driver, rookie Kyle Larson, who sits 10th.

There are a total of 10 different winners, so far, in the season’s first 13 races, and the Sprint Cup circuit is exactly halfway through the 26-race regular season before the Chase cut-off.
