This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Brooklyn, Mich., for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. For many drivers, this weekend provides an opportunity to break into the win column to increase their chances at getting into the 16-driver Chase for the Sprint Cup championship post-season. That includes still winless Greg Biffle, a four-time winner at Michigan over the course of his career. Biffle has won two of the last three Cup races at Michigan, and his car owner, Michigan native Jack Roush, is the all-time winningest car owner at Michigan with 13 victories.

Matt Kenseth, a former Roush Fenway Racing driver now with Joe Gibbs Racing, like Biffle, is still looking for his first win of 2014. He’s a two-time winner at MIS.

But this weekend’s race is more about wins for drivers and increasing Chase chances for said drivers. This race is in the backyards of the manufacturers, specifically Chevrolet and Ford, so this weekend’s race is also about bragging rights for the auto makers.
