Getting to Know the New Kids - Cole Whitt

Evidently it is far too much to ask of the racing gods to have two ginger drivers doing great in the same season. Unfortunately for Cole Whitt, this seems to be the year of the most famous red head in Dale Junior. Cole is not having the same luck.

There is still time left and it could all be turned around at any moment, but judging from this kid’s record I find it highly doubtful. Never winning a race is not really unusual but after several seasons in various series it becomes kind of weird.

I have won just as many NASCAR races as this guy.  I enjoy being able to say that but it is getting kind of pitiful for his race team.

I am really hoping that Cole will get the knack of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing here soon.  He has been really successful in the past in other racing series, so it is not far-fetched to believe that he could be a threat at some point to race against.

I would guess that it has been a long few years of winless racing for his team since coming to the NASCAR racing series.

As any long time NASCAR fan knows though every once in a while a kid gets on a streak and puts all the statistics to shame.  I certainly hope that this is going to be the case for Cole; he has certainly put in the effort and time and is deserving of a solid career.
