NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Richmond International Raceway: entry list
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers who are still winless through the first 25 races have one last ditch effort to claim a first win during the regular season as the circuit heads to Richmond (Va.) International Raceway for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400. It’s the 26th race of the season, so after the checkered flag, the field will be set for the 16-driver 2014 Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Twelve drivers have locked in their Chase spots by virtue of winning a race, or two, or three. Plus, Matt Kenseth has secured his spot with his position in the points standings. There are a few other drivers, led by Ryan Newman and Greg Biffle, who stand a shot at getting in on points. For everyone else, it’ll be “game on” at Richmond, with a singular focus on a race win.
Qualifying is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. ET Friday evening. The race is scheduled to take the green flag shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday and may be seen live on ABC.
