I'm a freelance NASCAR writer, working for various news outlets, both print and online.
I been a racing fan since I was knee high to a grasshopper. My father took me to Chicago's Soldier Field for a NASCAR race and I was hooked. Yes, that was back in the day so I've seen many of the greats who are now in the Hall of Fame. I like all the drivers on the circuit and met most of them. My blogging began at the original The Sporting News under nievesracers and I have also made stops at Rowdy.com, Yougabsports and The Sports Blog Nation where I created a weekly fantasy series blog called RP=M(Racing Points = Money) under the name of Iceman. I love fantasy racing and my blogs are usually fantasy related with twelve years of experience in fantasy games. I have attended Riverside College and Northeastern Illinois University with a criminal justice background and industrial applications specialist. I reside in southern California.
I grew up in the eastern part of Canada living and breathing everything NASCAR.
I am currently 29 years old and a recent graduate of Valparaiso University located in northwest Indiana. I have been a fan of NASCAR since I was but a little boy. I was a big fan Ricky Rudd initially, then Jeff Gordon came along and stole my heart. Looking back, I think I just liked drivers that drove brightly colored race cars. Rudd's Tide paint scheme on his #10 Ford Thunderbird is still my all time favorite car.

Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.

FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
