Joe Nieves (Staff Writer)
Joe’s been a NASCAR and racing fan since he was knee high to a grasshopper. His father took him to my first stock car race at Soldier Field in Chicago in the early 60s and he was hooked.
He followed Fred Lorenzen back then since he was a local driver from the Chicagoland area, one of the few not to come from the south at the time.
Raised in Chicago, Joe attended Northeastern Illinois University and shortly after moved to the west coast where he attended Riverside Community College with a major in Criminal Justice.
Joe is presently in the Chicago area until the first of March when he heads back to Southern California, which he calls home.
He started blogging at the original “The Sporting News” until it closed, then Rowdy.com, Yougabsports and The Sports Blog Nation where he created RP=M(Racing Points=Money) a weekly fantasy picks blog for the upcoming NASCAR race.
