Carl Edwards has been in the Nationwide Series for quite some time now.  He has done so much in the Series since his NASCAR debut in 2005.  He won the Nationwide Series Title in 2007, and has finished no worse than 3rd in every year he participated in the Nationwide Series (until NASCAR made the rule change stating that drivers cannot run for points in 2 series during the same year). ML Racing announced today that Johanna Long will drive the No. 70 Biomet – Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet Impala for the 2012 and 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series. Long, a Pensacola, Fl native is the winner of the 2010 Snowball Derby. She began her NASCAR career in 2011, driving a limited schedule in the Camping World Truck Series for Panhandle Motorsports.  Long qualified in the 5th place position in her first start at Daytona. In a post to Twitter, Trevor Bayne announced that he is staying in the #21 Wood Brothers Ford for the 2012 season. Bayne tweeted the following regarding his extension. It’s official! I’m pumped to have the opportunity to be behind the wheel for @woodbrothers21 again this season! #21 @MQL_racing @fordracing Its great to see Bayne be resigned for 2012. Many people in the sport expect Bayne to contend for the 500 this year (despite the fact that everyone is mainly a contender at the Superspeedways).
