Report: AJ Allmendinger out, Kurt Busch in at RPM
If the reports coming out of NASCAR are true, Kurt Busch didn’t have to wait long for a ride for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Busch, who split from Penske Racing last week, is being considered by Richard Petty Motorsports to replace A.J. Allmendinger in the No.43 Ford, according to Dave Moody with Sirius XM Radio. In an effort to keep Best Buy on the car for 2012, RPM has proposed replacing Allmendinger with the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup champion. Goodbye, Red Bull Racing
In June, Red Bull Racing owners announced that they planned to sell the team or shut down after the final race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. On Thursday, the reality became true as the shop began to lay off approximately 152 shop employees.
